KAMUKAMA FOUNDATION
I began my work with Kamukama Foundation in 2015 with a full rebrand. The Kamukama Foundation sponsors more than 550 students in rural Uganda through partnerships with 11 nursery, primary, secondary and vocational schools. Due to the lack of government subsidized education Uganda, families face enormous challenges to educate their children. As a result, the young adult unemployment rate is 64% and 3 out of 4 children who start primary school never complete 5th grade. The Foundation empowers local school communities by providing school tuition, supplies, uniforms, healthcare, safe drinking water and two healthy meals per day.
Since the initial rebrand, I have managed all creative efforts and marketing materials from concept to completion including the Foundation's website, blog, donor outreach and informational materials, and annual fundraising event, Maj for a Misison.
Some of my all-time favorite works have been in collaboration with Kamukama Foundation. Their complete trust in my process and creative abilities have bred some of the most beautiful work of my career and work I’m truly proud of. I’ve grown close to the cause over the years, and have been a sponsor myself for 3 years.
